Data Recognition Corporation, New York University, and JAM Press are pleased to announce that IOMW 2008 will be held in New York City at New York University on March 22 and 23, 2008, just prior to the AERA annual meeting. Hotel and dinning information will be available on this website in the near future. Instructions for travel to NYU will also be available.
This is the fourteenth meeting of IOMW, a series of biannual meetings that originated in 1981. The first IOMW was organized by Ben Wright and held at the University of Chicago. Paper and symposium applications will be accepted beginning in September 2007. IOMW 2008 will feature 12 presentation sessions with approximately 50 presentations. The deadline for paper and symposium proposals was January 18, 2008. The preliminary program will be announced on February 5, 2008. Paper and Symposium Submission
Information on the paper and symposium submission process is available below. Please click on the appropriate button to download a printable pdf form for paper or symposium submission. There will be one plenary sessions and 6 concurrent sessions each day with a maximum of 5 presenters in each session. Each session will be 90 minutes in length, allowing each presenter approximately 14 minutes per presentation, with 20 minutes at the end for questions and answers. Individual papers will be grouped into a session with papers sharing common themes. Symposia based on 4 to 5 commonly themed papers will be considered.

Currently there are 47 paper presentations and two computer program demonstrations scheduled. It looks to be a very informative conference. The final program contains abstracts for all of the presentations. Small changes in the program are possible at any time.
